The UPLIFT Community Development Foundation is a non-profit, non-sectarian entity. It’s established in 1998 by Adelina San Miguel and a handful of very supportive friends.  It is SEC & DSWD registered and accredited by both municipal & provincial governments.

*        The first project of the Foundation was the “Alay-Sining” wherein foremost Taytay Artists During Lacampuenga & Godo Zapanta were facilitated to do art exhibits at the 1998 Philippine Centennial Celebrations in three major cities in U.S.A.; Washington D.C., New York City, NY and San Francisco, CA.

*        The Foundation also sponsored tennis clinics in Elementary & High Schools in Taytay from 1997-2000. Among the youths who participated, 4 of them are now varsity players & scholars at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and one player in Japan. Those youths also planted the trees you now see at the Veteran’s Memorial Park across the New Taytay Public Market by Manila East Road.

*        The Foundation also holds seminars on Zero Waste Management.

*        Ms. San Miguel believes that if Taytay has a Tennis University, Taytay can be the Sports Capital of Rizal , a tourism attraction.

*        And now  new project arise….”The Second Home”…

The TAHANANG BALIK-ALAY, (TBA) grows out of a sense that as we pass along in this life, every outreach can make a difference and automatically improves the quality of life for all in the community. In addition, to so much given, so much is expected to be given back. Founded by Adelina San Miguel, M.S.W., she quotes, “If I can help somebody as I pass along”.

The frail Seniors can spend their Golden years in their “Second Home” ambiance where committed professionals cater to their needs and the abandoned children can grow in a familial ambiance and continue with their studies. This is the first “Intergen” Facility – intergenerational wherein children can enjoy life with “grandparents” and the latter enjoy the company of “grandchildren”. Priority of Tahanang Balik Alay (TBA) is compassionate attention and service. Socialization skills with senior peers highlight Senior Day Care on Tuesdays and Thursdays, it’s “Chikahan sa KUBO”. And a PET therapy is an option. Our Seniors will be provided care and supervision in their Activities of
